Regional & Point-to-Point Connectivity

Standard internet infrastructure often stops at the front gate. For rural sites, vineyards and farms that span multiple buildings and paddocks, we use Ubiquiti/UniFi wireless point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links to bring one network — and one internet connection — to every part of the property.

Ubiquiti UniFi
1 Internet connection, centralised for the whole property instead of one per building
1 Firewall securing every site, not one per shed or outbuilding
↓ Lower ongoing connectivity cost by removing duplicate NBN, satellite or mobile broadband services

What we’ve built this for

We’ve deployed this for rural sites, vineyards and farms to extend Wi-Fi and connect security cameras and IoT devices across sites where running cable simply isn’t practical.

Wi-Fi across the whole property

Cellar doors, packing sheds, staff accommodation and offices connected to the same network, without a separate internet plan for each building.

CCTV without running cable

Wireless backhaul carries camera feeds from remote sheds, gates and yards back to central storage, instead of trenching cable across paddocks.

IoT & sensor connectivity

Soil moisture sensors, irrigation controllers, tank level monitors and similar IoT devices connected reliably across the site.

One firewall, not one per building

Security is centralised at the point where your network meets the internet, instead of every outbuilding being its own, separately-managed exposure point.

Lower total cost One connection + one firewall for the whole property, not one of each per building Starlink / 5G (one shared connection) Central Firewall & Router one security policy, whole property wireless P2P link Homestead Wi-Fi + office Shed / Packing cameras + IoT Cellar Door Wi-Fi + POS Office laptop Staff Wi-Fi Yard camera Shed camera POS tablet Guest Wi-Fi
A single shared Starlink or 5G connection feeds one central firewall, which reaches every building over wireless point-to-point links — then fans out again at each building to the actual laptops, phones, POS terminals and CCTV cameras using the network. One connection and one firewall for the whole property means a lower total cost than running a separate service to every building.

Why this matters

Paying for a separate internet service at every building on a property adds up fast, and each one is a separate thing to secure, monitor and troubleshoot. Point-to-point wireless links let you buy one good connection and share it — securely — across the whole site.
